Running for Rhett is a non-profit organization founded in December 7th 2007 by grassroots group of family and friends that love Rhett Seavers. Their mission is to inspire people to move into life by nurturing healthy communities through fitness and nutrition. The running for Rhett youth fitness program puts on a 7 week after school training program that provides twice-weekly coached training program for over 60 Sacramento area schools. This is done twice a year once in the spring and once in the fall with a designated race following.
The Salvation Army Christmas CanTree is sponsored by the Sacramento Association of Realtors. This drive from SAR raises money through many different fundraisers to benefit the Salvation Army. The funds are used by The Salvation Army to provide food baskets and year-round food assistance programs for needy families and individuals in the Sacramento area. CanTree is a critical factor in successfully feeding thousands of people during Christmas time.
