An unassuming treasure 148 Highland Blvd offers sweeping panoramic views that unfold the moment you enter. A 1950s post-and-beam modernist home w/ soaring ceilings, walls of glass, & exposed wood beams, blurring the line between indoors & out. Inspired by Joseph Eichler, it is a celebration of simplicity, natural materials, & a deep connection to nature. Living and dining spaces flow to a sunset-ready view deck, anchored by a wood-burning fireplace w/Heath Ceramics tile. Flexible 3-4 bedrooms and 3 baths include a serene primary retreat and a second principal suite. Original midcentury details are preserved and enhanced w/ terrazzo, Heath tile, rich wood, and original Herman Miller lighting. Modern upgrades include efficient 3 zone heat heating, heated kitchen and lower bath floors, retractable deck shade, partial electrical, thermoset-coated type roof, and a compliant sewer lateral. The elegant garden balances fire resilience w/ design. Steps from Kensington Hilltop Elementary, Kensington Park, Tilden Trails, and near shops and dining, this rare modern retreat perfectly unites architectural authenticity and natural beauty.
